There weren’t many more popular players than Stephen Tingay.
The hard-nosed midfielder was a brilliant player, who gave his all in every single one of his 162 games for the Dees.
Houghto and Benny had a wonderful chat with ‘Stingay’ about his career, which saw him receive All-Australian honours in 1994. That was a year the club would rue, with what was arguably the best outfit assembled since the last flag in 1964.
He lifted the lid on all of those years under John Northey and Neil Balme, singling out Travis Johnstone for a special mention and telling one extremely funny story about such a prodigious talent when he first arrived at the club.
